Thank you for being one of our warm faces of Bethel
Our Ushers and Greeters are our welcoming committee on Sunday mornings! This is a wonderful way to participate in the Sunday service when it is convenient for you. Any member of Bethel can sign up to be an Usher/Greeter. The duties are simple, but vitally important.
They are :
Arrive 20 minutes before service begins
Greeter - stand by the entry and hand out bulletins
Usher - stand by the sanctuary and help seat
Greet visitors to Bethel and let them know where things are located (ie. nursery, refreshments, bathrooms, etc)
Encourage visitors to sign guest book
Make sure aisles are not blocked
Pass out friendship pads at the beginning of the service
Stay in the Narthex after service begins for about 10-15 mins to assist late comers in finding a seat
Count the number of attending the service and note on the attendance sheet
Pass out offertory trays and take up to Pastor
Assist with communion either pouring, filling or holding baskets (duty determined by your comfort level)
Following the service pick up the friendship pads, pick up garbage in the sanctuary, straighten chairs, take discarded bulletins to the recycling box in the Work Room
Sign up in the Usher/Greeter binder in the Narthex.
