![]() Hope Circle is a gathering of women of all ages that meets September through June. We have been a formal group at Bethel Lutheran Church for over 30 years. Hope Circle meets once a month at an individual’s home at 2:00 p.m., where dessert is provided. The evening of Circle is the choice of the hostess, although it usually falls on a Tuesday or Thursday. We do like to avoid evenings of council or other church gatherings. So it is important to watch for Hope Circle gathering dates in the church bulletin, newsletter, or get on the e-mail list.
We participate in a Bible Study chosen each September. The Bible Study is read together (usually for the first time), the evening of Circle. We are open to all suggestions of what the group would like to study for the year and have studied individual books of the Bible, the Bible Study from the ELCA Women’s magazine “Gather” or purchased study books from the local Christian bookstore. Besides a Bible Study this group provides support for those who are attending and who might need our additional prayers, love and friendship due to whatever reason. We have actively supported our fellow Hope Circle attendees through marriage, divorce, births, death, illness, cancer, children and grandchildren, or caring for an adult, or elderly family member. We acknowledge and have felt the power of prayer many times over throughout the last 30 plus years.
